Full Description: Burford is an historic market town in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds that has hardly changed since Georgian times, when it was an important coach stop between Oxford and the West Country. The High Street, lined with beautiful ancient buildings built of classic mellow Cotswolds stone, is one of the finest in the Cotswolds. The lower end of the high street crosses the River Windrush.
