The Lion is a Victorian coaching inn, pub and restaurant in the village of Waddesdon in Bucks, offering a warm welcome, quality food and excellent en-suite accommodation. There is ample free parking and children are more than welcome in the bar/dining areas of the pub.  There is also a covered outdoor area and garden. Free wi-fi is available throughout The Lion.

Accommodation. There are 10 en-suite rooms available and all rooms have:

• En-suite shower
• Tea and Coffee facilities
• Hair dryer
• T.V.
• The use of a laundry facility, ironing board and iron
• Free WiFi Connection

We also have a fully equipped disabled double bedroom with an adjoining double guest bedroom for friends / carers.

Prices start from £60.00 for a single room to £100.00 for a Family room (price excludes VAT).
Cots and Z beds are available on request.

Full English breakfast is included; breakfast is served between 7.00am – 9.00am Monday to Friday and 8.30 – 9.30 at weekends.

Restaurant: There is a wide and varied menu available every day. The food is lovingly prepared and locally sourced wherever possible. Check out the Valentines Menu.

Waddesdon is on the northern edge of the Chilterns between Aylesbury and Bicester, just over 20 minutes from the M40 and reasonably close to and convenient for the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The 'dreaming spires' of the City of Oxford, Blenheim Palace and the famous town of Woodstock as well as the myriad of beautiful villages in the eastern Oxfordshire Cotswolds, such as Burford and Charlbury, are all no more than 45 minutes to an hour away. The village of Brill with its ancient windmill, set high on the Chilterns escarpment with beautiful, far reaching views over several counties is also nearby. Walkers will also love this area with miles of footpaths, winding their way over the surrounding gently rolling hills.

The village of Waddesdon is probably most famous for being the home of the Rothschild dynasty at Waddesdon Manor, one of the crown jewels of The National Trust. The Lion is perfect for people wishing to combine a visit to the manor with a stay in the area. The Lion also makes an excellent venue for wedding receptions and parties or as a pre wedding meeting venue and also for wedding guest accommodation.
