The Falkland Arms is a lovely Cotswolds country inn with dining and accommodation in Oxfordshire near Chipping Campden.

Visit The Falkland Arms at Great Tew, a beautiful 16th Century building, still run as a traditional, local pub set in a quiet picturesque Cotswolds village. Whether you are popping in for a 'quick drink', a bite to eat or looking for somewhere to stay, The Falkland Arms offers a warm welcome and is the perfect place to snatch a few moments of tranquillity. The flagstone floors, oak beams and inglenook fireplace are cosy in winter and our award winning gardens are enjoyed on sunny days throughout the year. We are famed for our selection of beers, whiskies and country wines and we offer superb food and accommodation.

Please note, we do not have a licence for children under 16 in the bar. However, well behaved children are welcome in the garden at anytime and may sit in the dining room (adjacent to the bar) at lunchtimes. Well-behaved dogs on leads can make themselves at home in the bar or garden and may sample our excellent tap water!

Staying at The Falkland Arms.  Our rooms (refurbished in 2004) retain the charm of the 16th Century building and are perfect for weekend getaways. Enjoy delightful b&b accommodation, in the peace of a beautiful Oxfordshire village, on the edge of the Cotswolds. Guests often say that a visit to us is like stepping back in time; with our low ceilings, traditional leaded windows with stunning views.   Due to the age of our building, some guests may find our steep stairs slightly awkward and we regret that we are unable to provide facilities for visitors with disabilities and we are also unable to accommodate pets or children under 16.

Eating at The Falkland Arms.  Our aim is to provide you with great quality food and provide good value for money in our intimate dining room. We offer a limited menu and we source fresh, locally produced ingredients wherever possible.  Our food is freshly prepared and, where possible, we are happy to adjust dishes to your tastes. We will try to cater for special dietary requirements but we do ask for 48 hours prior notice.

At lunchtime, we serve a range of light meals and cooked dishes, with prices starting at around £4. Lunches are served in the dining room, bar and garden. To keep things informal, we do not take bookings and it can get quite busy, so arrive early to be sure of a table.


Live Music at The Falkland Arms. For a livelier visit, come along for one of our regular music nights - or join the crowds at our annual beer festival.
Every Sunday from 8pm-ish! - traditional folk music.
Last Friday or Saturday of the month - a range of artists sing songs from the 60's to contemporary.
