Greenhill Farm Leisure Park is a family run, dog friendly, camping and caravanning site situated in the heart of the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Nestled between the beauty of the Cotswolds and the scenic Chiltern Hills, our caravan and camp site is well positioned to allow you to explore the many attractions in the area. The Park is close to Oxford with good access to main roads being 6 miles from junction 9 of the M40 and 3 miles from the A34. Woodstock and Blenheim Palace are only 4 miles away and Oxfords dreaming spires only 10 miles away. We offer both hardstanding pitches for large caravans and motorised vehicles, and soft pitches for camping, many with electrical hook-ups. Facilities include two modern toilet blocks with free showers, a launderette, a games room, a playground and an on-site shop.
We are particularly proud of our surrounding environment as Greenhill Park is beautifully situated next to a conservation area with nurtured forestry and wildlife preserve. In addition, the Oxford Canal/River Cherwell runs through part of the Park, with lovely walks and free fishing (rod licence required). Expect to see wildlife such as deer in the nearby fields and the numerous owls and buzzards that live in the area. For the young ones (both young and young-at-heart) there are baby goats, and other petting animals at many times of the year. Dogs are welcome at Greenhill Leisure Park but we ask that they must always be kept under control on a short lead whilst on and around the Park. This is to protect the wildlife that we are encouraging in the area and also the farm animals. Dogs must not be allowed to foul the Park or become a nuisance. They may however be exercised off the lead in the field provided. Fishing at Greenhill Leisure Park. We have two established fishing lakes totaling approximately 1.5 acres and situated next to the campsite, with one lake stocked with carp, and the second with a mixture of coarse fish. Greenhill Leisure park is a working farm. The Park is comprised of 210 acres of mixed woodland and cultivated farmland and is attached to a well managed and maintained Conservation area. We have planted a further 25 acres of woodland to enhance the beauty of the area and encourage wildlife. Roe deer are frequently seen, as are badgers, foxes, and buzzards.
The Oxford Canal/River Cherwell runs through part of the Park offering fishing and pleasant strolls by the water. In order to help conserve the wildlife we have planted blocks of wild bird seed mixtures, left headlands uncut, established conservation corners, and planted a further 10 acres of woodland.
On the farm, we stable horses and are looking at various breeds of farm animals as well as the inclusion of a pets corner. At present on the farm you will see Kune Kune pigs, Dexter cattle, Pigmy Goats, various ducks and chickens and lambs in the Spring.
