Cheltenham or Cheltenham Spa as it is also known, is one of Englands most complete and popular Regency towns. Approximately 90 minutes from London (M40/A40), Cheltenham is an ideal base for touring into the Cotswolds, and visiting other towns in the Cotswolds such as Stratford upon Avon and Bath.
Cheltenham is the western gateway to the Cotswolds and is characterised by fine Regency town houses, which line the historic Promenade and squares.
Attractions are plentiful with award-winning parks and gardens including the towns centrepiece, Montpellier Gardens, with it's fountain and statue in memory of the composer Gustav Holst, who was born in Cheltenham.

There are all year round festivals and events including festivals of music and literature, the Cheltenham food and drink festival and of course, horse racing, with the world famous Cheltenham Gold Cup racing festival.
Other attractions include Cheltenham Town Hall and the Pittville Pump Room, the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum. Cheltenham has three theatres: the Everyman, the Playhouse and the Bacon. For film-lovers there is the Cineworld multi-screen cinema.
